In its recipes Nacrè uses renowned Sicilian excellences, such as Bronte pistachio, Sicilian citrus fruits, Avola almonds, combined with the best single-origin cocoa, to enhance the delicacies of the territory; all ingredients are traditionally handcrafted according to the tradition that has characterised Modica PGI chocolate since its origins.

Modica chocolate is a centuries-old tradition: in 16th century Spanish domination brought this ancient recipe of Aztec origin to the County of Modica. This type of chocolate was prepared in the houses of noble and upper-class families on feast days and, since then, the recipe has remained unchanged and has been passed down to this present day.
